Is it legal to have with a minor if you are above the age of majority and married to this minor?

After hearing of the marriage of Doug Hutchison, aged in his 50s, and his wife of 16 years, Courtney, I questioned this. Her mother was quoted "Courtney was a virgin when she married Doug. She is a good Christian girl. …" She said she WAS a virgin when they met. If they did have , would it be legal?
