Why did my xbox live connection get weaker after about a week of working strong?

I recently got a new Cisco wireless router and this worked way stronger than my old one. After a week or two of great gaming, the connection is weak and I cant play a game without glitching. HELP please i havent played cod in two weeks and its killing me!
