PLEASE help settle a mother - daughter dispute!?

There is a two-cup drink holder in the front seat armrest. I never leave home without a bottle of water. My 13 year old daughter usually has one, as well. Last week on vacation, I got an almost-frozen bottle of water from the cooler I had packed for the road trip. At the time, my daughter did not have a bottle of water occupying the cup holder on her side. My water bottle sweated and left a puddle of water in the holder. My daughter put her iPod in the cup holder, realized it got wet, was upset about it getting wet, yet did it again w short while later. After realizing the iPod had been damaged by the water, she got very angry at me. This was several days ago and the iPod has since resumed working almost like new... it takes a few times of pushing the power on to make it work, but it is working. She thinks I should have apologized and admitted it was 100% my fault that her iPod got wet. She says it was not her place to look for water in the cup holder and I am to blame. I, on the other hand, think she should have looked (twice) to see if there was any water (or anything else) in the cup holder before using it. She read that silica gel packs would dry it out when placing them in a bag with the iPod. I had bought a new purse that day and told her to get the ones out of the trunk and bring them back to the hotel room, which she did. I propped the bag containing the gel packs and iPod on the nightstand so any water could drain downward during the night. According to her, I "don't care" because I didn't "admit" it was all my fault and I showed "no sympathy". Fast-forward to today and the argument was even worse this time around. According to her, I am the ONLY one to blame, it is ALL my fault for having a frozen bottle of water in the cup holder without telling her it would sweat, and she is well beyond mad and angry at me right now. We both ended up in tears. She's mad. I'm hurt. When it happened, I told her it was not the end of the world and it was something that could be replaced. I told her then, and again today, that I KNEW it was important to her but still, it was not the end of the world. It's not the end of outside contact with the world, either. She has a laptop, as well. I'm a single mother of two, trying to make ends meet, stressed beyond comprehension, and being told I "don't care" hurts me to my core. She knows this, no doubt, and therein lies a lot of the problems we face. Unbiased opinions welcome. :)

Did you fill out your grant information in time? Usually this should be done a couple months before school started. If you were a little late than it can take some extra time. Last semester at the last minute I transfered schools and I had to wait 2 months before my grants and loans were processed by the school. In cases like your school is having with so many people calling in it will take even longer. A lot of schools also will not drop students if they are waiting for aid to go through that has already been approved. Some schools also will drop everyone who has not paid but for those who know they have aid just have to go talk to the business office and sometimes a bit more paperwork has to be filled out but they can usually go back to cles after this. Most of the time the financial aid department has everything filed and done before the drop dates occur. For books most schools inform you to get them on your own as some do not even send out check disbursements until 30 or more days after school has started. You can try finding a study partner to share books with, you can check ichapters.com and see if they have any books you are using and buy just chapters at a time for maybe $5, and chugg.com is a book rental where most of them are maybe $30. These are options you can look into that are cheap for now.

My gerbils' water bottle is not working!!?

It takes too long to get just a little water out. I bought two brand-new bottles - one gl and one plastic. They both do it and I'm wondering if it's because gerbils don't drink as much as other small animals or if it's because of the dry winter air. I have to take the bottle out of the cage and give it a good vertical shake to get a good volume of water out, but this only lasts for a bit because the spout is dried up when I check it again later in the day. I've even tried loosening the spout where it connects to the bottle. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks so much!!

Two similar problems with our cats?

The second one I'm pretty sure is hair. My cat does that and then she swallows afterwards. She swallows her hair its really gross lol. The first one could be a variety of things. It could be hair, changing the brand of food, eating something bad, or eating to fast. It could be anything. If its not constant then I wouldn't worry about it.

I have a red eared slider who was a hatchling when a bought it, and I had it for 5 years. I keep telling my parents the proper way to feed him, how to take care of him, and all the supplies, but they never seem to pay attention. Natural regimens for children diagnosed Autistic and ADHD? What have you tried with some sucess or observed?

Seems my kid's doc wants t prescribe meds to treat Autism and ADHD. If there are natural interventions that can help I would much rather try these first. However the doc feels this would be useless. He comes off almost adamant that the meds must be used and that doing anything else would be a waste of time. He totally dismisses that immunizations have anything to do with Autism and is pro everything that I am simply not sure of. Which causes me to feel a little pressured. Help with my leg pain!?

I am a runner, and I have been running the same running regimen for the past 2 years with no problems. Recently, my lower legs have been bothering me at night, so I took 2 days off from running and decided to do light biking instead. The pain is getting worse (feels achey, weak and pinchy) and is widespread on my lower leg and even radiates to my knee and ankle. My lower back is also bothering me which makes me think it might be a nerve issue? I do not think this is shin splints because the back of my legs hurt as well. I have been very tired lately also. Any ideas of what this might be?!

OK let me explain. I bought a pack of condoms and my girlfriend and I tried to have . It was the first time for both of us and we were nervous so the first two times we didn't finish. After we stopped I threw the condoms out but after the last time we tried I kept one. Then we tried again and we finished. (This wasn't all in one day either. Not even in the same week, if that matters.) I made sure the condom was on before I came and I pulled out less than a minute after I came. What does my dream mean?

I had this dream last night and I cant work out what it means, some of it may seem random but i'm going to say all of it incase there is some hidden meaning behind it. Who is in the wrong here?

My fiancee smokes pot and I HATE it, I mean, I have nothing against smokin' folk, but when he smokes, he becomes negligent, ignores me, and gets dependent on it and if he can't find any, he resorts to spice (incense K12) and that makes him downright disrespectful and careless to everything and anything that pertains to me. I asked him ( this was like 3 months ago) if he would be respectful enough to ask me before he just goes off and does it since it is something I really hate. I said "if you have the respect enough to ask if it would bother me, it would really make things a lot smoother". One of my children was a unsettled baby and the other good as gold, I think I had the two extremes. I'm a very organized person and had my babies in routine, they are very close in age, less than 12 months between them so having a plan always helped me keep on top of things. But things didn't always go to plan, with my unsettled baby, laundry built up and meals sometimes ran late. We all try to do our best as we all love our children. Life is full of challenges and we all deal with them in our own way. Maybe your next baby could throw a spanner in the works.

Rude FMIL and the new baby?

Me and my FH have been living together for a year and at first everything was great. His mother was going through a divorce and told me all about it every chance she got. I sat and listened, realizing she had a son and probably no one to express her feelings to. But push came to shove she was talking about me more than she was talking to me. She would tell me that I did such a good job cleaning up, but would tell my FH I messed up the hard wood floor; I put appliques on my sons wall, she told me they were cute but told my FH I was ruining the walls. First off my FH bought a house and moved his mom in and being the sweetheart he is he let her have the master bedroom so she would be more secluded and we could have some privacy- which didnt work. So finally it hit the fan that I knew she was talking about me and she cursed me and my FH out his dad called and told her she needed to move out, but she refuses to. She comes in and slams the doors, stomps really hard coming in at 11pm while are trying to get sleep before work, and just bombards in every one of our conflicts, and has went so far to tell him that I am cheating on him and the baby may not be his. My FH no longer deals with her because of how she treats me and has asked her to leave because now more than ever we need the extra room for the baby. I have however stayed out of any arguments with her because my stress level has already gotten too high. My FH feels that because she is so mean to me (she doesn't even speak or say hello) she should have no involvement with our child. I agree with him partially (until she gets herself together)but then its a difficult situation to be in because unfortunately right now we all live together. I don't know exactly how to deal with this. A child is a child, yes I gave birth to them but I dont own them and whether I like it, she is still their grandmother. Opinions?

You should wait about a week and test again and if you still have problems go to your doctor and have a blood test done. Last week my period had not come like normal (I am using mirena) so i decided to take an ept test and it came out positive. I was so worried since I am using the mirena I called my doctor and they said to come in monday. I did and they did not find anything on the sonogram and so they did a test and it was negative. My point is that even the pricier tests can be wrong. Try to wait a little longer and test again or go to you doctor. I hope things work out the way you want them to.

Just today, my mom drove me over there without telling me, and the family smiled at me while the grandma bombarded me with questions as to why I wasn't visiting. And then when we were about to leave, they told me to visit them, or else they'd drag me to their home. My mom likes these people. A lot. But there's no "real" communication between them. When I did visit them a lot, I was overly cheerful and go-lucky naturally. Now I'm calm, thoughtful, and I prefer to be quiet and to myself. How do I deal with this?

I've been thinking of adopting a cat for a while. Does anyone know if Sac SPCA is a good place to start? I know I will have to fill out paperwork and stuff like that, but I heard some shelters or private rescues bombard you with questions about your home, lifestyle, family, etc. or even do home visits...and I am not comfortable with that. OK well this is a pretty long incident and i'm sorry but i really need some help. Well, one night i noticed i couldn't bend my knee. I took a look and found it was HUGE. I mean real big. I hadn't played any sports for a long time or nothing, no injury or no fall. but three day's before i had walked about a mile home but the doctor said that couldn't have caused it. We Went to Urgent Care and they took one look at it and sent me to the Emergency Room. At the emergency room, the took out the fluid, sent it to get tested and took some X-ray's. After waiting some time, they said i was OK to go because they got a call saying there was nothing strange in the fluid so it wasn't infecter or nothing. They gave me some crutches a knee immobilizer and we set up an appointment with an orthopedic.They also prescribed some pain killers and for me to elevate and ice me (which i did). We went to the orth. a week later and took the x-rays and he reviewd them and said everything looked great! He also said he never got the results of the fluids so he had to take some out too. He then gave me some Naproxen and i took one every morning and every night with food and a whole gl of watet. Then we set up an appointment for an MRI. When i got it, We went back with the same ortho. and he reviewd them. Everything also looked great! At this time, the swelling had gone down by alot. he told me he couldn't find anything wrong & he couldn't help me anymore because i didn't need any surgery or anything. then he said to get off the naproxen and start bending my knee more because it was getting real stiff but still continue to ice it. Everything seem great for about a week but yesterday my started to swell up again! The times before, it was soft and kind of squishy (i'm guessing because of the fluid) but now it's really, really hard. What can be causing this? What should i do know that the doctor couldn't even help?

I've had it for a week now and it still at merely the SIGHT of me. I have one male, who's about 9 weeks old now, and bites me every chance he gets. I put my used shirt in his cage and I wear the pouch (any tips on how to get him IN the pouch, nicely?) when I get home from school. I've also tried gaining his trust by holding out food, trying to get him to come to me. He just stares at me and until I go away. For the first to days I did leave him alone in the cage. Since it's just been a week and he's young I figure it'll get better at some point, but any tips to speed up the process? LSU or Ohio State?

Ok I've read about 6 different questions, the exact same as this. And I have read like 200 different answers. I have seen just as many people picking LSU as I've seen Ohio State.
